Speakers
Jackson Lau, OD, FAAO, FSLS
Dr. Jackson Lau is the senior manager of professional relations at Euclid Vision Corporation. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. He earned distinction as a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He continues to practice in the Silicon Valley and serves as an adjunct clinical faculty for the Illinois College of Optometry and New England College of Optometry.
Lynette Johns, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA
Dr. Lynette Johns is the director of clinical and scientific affairs at Visionary Optics. She has lectured nationally and internationally on scleral lenses and severe ocular surface disease. She is the co-editor and author of Contemporary Scleral Lenses: Theory and Application. Lynette is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, the Scleral Lens Education Society, and the British Contact Lens Association.
Christie Yee, NCLEM
Christie Yee is designated a Master Contact Lens Practitioner by the NCLE with over 20 years of specialty contact lens experience. Christie is a past director of the Minnesota Contact Lens Society, and prior to Joining Euclid, provided direct patient care as a Contact Lens Specialist for Park Nicollet. In her role at Park Nicollet, she fit some of the most challenging corneas using modalities such as scleral, hybrid, and corneal GP designs. Christie was also responsible for the implementation of myopia management across her organization with the use of soft multifocal contacts, Ortho-K, and low-dose atropine.
Thanh Mai, OD, FSLS
Special Guest at SoCal Event
Dr. Mai is a partner at Insight Vision Center Optometry in Costa Mesa, California. He focuses primarily on specialty contact lenses. In particular, he works with patients suffering from corneal diseases such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, and damaged corneas from refractive surgery or corneal transplants. Because he is highly nearsighted himself, he has a passion for myopia management with Ortho-K and other methods to slow or stop the progression of myopia in children.
